The Santa Clara Parish Finance Council is a consultative body that advises the Pastor in financial matters related to Santa Clara Parish, Chapel, and School. The finance council is canonically mandated (Canon 537) and is largely concerned with the temporal goods (the buildings, collections, compensation, and such) of the parish community.
The responsibilities of the Santa Clara Finance Council include:
Approve annual budgets
Review annual diocesan financial reports (Church, Chapel and School)
Monitor financial trends
Attend ADLA Finance Council Annual Meetings with the Archbishop and CFO
Prepare and publish an annual financial report
Recommend school tuition schedules
Annual review of compensation
Recommend investment positions of savings with the ADLA
Review of all projects exceeding $20,000
Members of the Parish Finance Council are appointed by the Pastor for renewable two-year terms. The Santa Clara Business Manager is an ex-officio member and serves as a resource to the Finance Council.
